Gearlinux is the core operating system that Gearlinx products run on including the NR series of products and the Duckfone. All Gearlinx products require a subscription to our Operational Resilience as a Service (ORAAS) license and as part of that license you receive:
- unlimited firmware updates, including new features
- bug patches
- security alerts and security patches
The Gearlinux software is an embedded Linux distribution that has been maintained and has evolved over two decades of care and maintenance. We expect Gearlinux to continue to evolve over many years ahead and there are no plans to EOL this software any time soon, instead it will continuously evolve and improve.
