Gearlinux is an immutable distribution
All Gearlinx products run Gearlinux firmware. You can read more about our firmware here. Gearlinux is an immutable Linux distribution which is a type of operating system that is designed to be completely unchanged after installation. This means that all files, configurations and settings remain constant and can only be changed by reinstalling the entire operating system. Immutable distributions are used in scenarios where security and stability are a priority.
